On the 4th of February, the National Environment Agency released a list of products containing active ingredients with concentrations that can work against various strains of coronaviruses.
According to NEA, using detergent and water is adequate as a precautionary measure. However, it’s recommended to use disinfectants for areas that are likely to be contaminated, such as the bedroom of a patient confirmed to have the coronavirus infection.
The National Environment Agency listed disinfectants and cleaning products that contain active ingredients with concentrations that are tested to work against various strains of coronaviruses.
On NEA’s website update on 15 February 2020, ZAZACORONA has been added to the list.
Listed below are the sterilants and disinfectants that can also prevent the spread of infections in residences and establishments. These disinfectant solutions are also commonly used in healthcare establishments such as hospitals.
Singapore-based agrisolutions company ZAGRO manufactures and distributes a range of disinfectants that can kill viruses and bacteria. For decades, the company has been producing agrochemicals used to disinfect farms worldwide. Now, ZAGRO also offers a range of disinfectants safe to use indoors, such as in offices, warehouses, households, and other commercial establishments.
ZAGRO’s ZAZACORONA is a anti-virus and bactericidal disinfectant solution that can be used on multiple surfaces. It’s composed of Glutaraldehyde (0.1% W/w), Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (0.06% W/w), phyto extract, and surfactant.
ZAZACORONA is available as a ready-to-use virucidal disinfectant wipe. This non-staining, non-toxic, and non-corrosive formula can kill viruses, bacteria, moulds, yeasts, and protozoa. The recommended way to use it is by applying the formula to a dry piece of cloth before wiping off door knobs, table tops, floors, and more.
ZAGRO also offers ZAZACLEAN, a ready-to-use disinfectant spray that is anti-microbial and can be used on multiple surfaces such as walls and floors. It has a composition of Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (0.1% W/w), phyto extract, and surfactant. It has a similar composition to most of the mass-produced disinfectants found in the market and endorsed by the NEA.
ZAGRO offers these products not just in Singapore, but across the globe, with partners and distributors present in most Southeast Asian countries. While the company has been protecting farm animals from infectious diseases for decades, it has now launched a product line that can also protect homes and offices from viral diseases.
